The opening ceremony of the 2nd Hunan Tourism Development Conference will be broadcast live on Hunan Satellite TV and Mango TV on September 16.

The opening ceremony of the 2nd Hunan Tourism Development Conference will be held at Feitian Mountain Scenic Performance Center in Suxian District, Chenzhou City on September 16. 

 

The opening ceremony will present a wonderful performance that integrates landscape, culture, and history to global audiences through song and dance, drama, and instrumental music.

 

This conference will focus on sustainable use of water resources and green development. 

 

The opening ceremony is divided into three chapters: “Waters of Chenzhou,” “Love for Chenzhou,” and “Ode to Chenzhou.”

 

 

"Waters of Chenzhou" showcases the beauty of mountains and rivers and human culture, “Love for Chenzhou” presents youthful melodies and romantic poems, and “Ode to Chenzhou” displays the aspirations and passions for the country.

 

The stage is designed on the concept of “landscape painting”, with a scroll that spreads freely between heaven and earth. Elements such as water curtains and fountains are integrated into the stage, fully displaying the beauty of Chenzhou’s ecology and landscape. The fountains and water curtains add splendor to each other, and the large screens bring a visual impact, which will present audiences with the iconic landscapes of different parts across the province, and the perfect integration of  technology and landscape.

 

As a cultural city with a history of over 2,000 years, Chenzhou has developed and accumulated rich regional cultural characteristics. The opening ceremony’s artistic programs will also showcase Chenzhou’s historical heritage and cultural inheritance. 

 

Combining traditional Chinese elements with popular music, poetry, and landscape painting, the stage will present the beautiful scenery of Chenzhou that has been praised by literati and scholars. 

 

The Hunan opera, which is a dazzling cultural tourism element of Chenzhou, will be presented in a creative combination with pop music, depicting the love story of talented men and women in parallel time and space. 

 

Additionally, an instrumental concerto adapted from the national intangible cultural heritage item Jiahe Wedding Songs will allow audiences to appreciate the folk culture with distinctive regional characteristics. 

 

For thousands of years, countless people in Chenzhou have worked hard and devoted themselves here, contributing to its long-lasting charm. The performance will convey the spiritual power of this Red land to the audience. 

 

The story “Half a Quilt” will be staged to show the warm relationship between Red Army soldiers and civilians, paying tribute to predecessors and inspiring young people in the new era. 

 

 

The romantic outdoor show on Yangtian Lake grassland and the Cantonese song chorus will allow the audience to feel the happiness and spirit of unity and hard work of the people of Chenzhou.
